WOONSOCKET, R. I.—Shekel Day was celebrated here by reorganizing the Zionist Society under the direction of Rabbi A. Gorowitz.
CANADA
MONTREAL.—The general quarterly meeting of the Montreal Zionist Society was held on Sunday, the 19th inst., at Empire Hall, and was largely attended. The chair was occupied by Dr. David A. Hart, president, and on the platform were Mr. Clarence I. de Sola, president of the Federation of Zionist Societies of Canada; Mr. J. S. Leo, Mr. Jacob Cohen, Mr. M. Schapiro, Mr. W. Levy, Rabbi Sprince and others. The financial secretary's report showed a large amount collectible, and the propaganda committee was empowered to gather in same.
It was decided to take steps to acquire permanent headquarters by the rental of a suite of meeting rooms and library and reading-room, and it was suggested that this should be arranged in conjunction with the various other Zionist bodies in Montreal. Report of the outing committee showed that a tangible sum had been recently raised toward the establishment of the proposed library.
GLACE BAY, CAPE BRETON.—The Federation of Zionist Societies of Canada has received
from Glace Bay, Cape Breton, further remittances toward the Jewish Colonial Trust, as well as contributions to the Shekel Fund.
OBITUARY
Bowed with grief at the unexpected and premature death of their corresponding secretary, Annie Rogalsky, the members of the Ladies' Zion League marched in line on November 5 after the hearse that carried her remains to their eternal rest.
Miss A. Rogalsky was one of the organizers of the society, and has always been faithful, enthusiastic and much devoted to the cause of Zionism. She was beloved by all who knew her for her amiable disposition and her sincerity in the movement. Her sudden death is a great loss to her sisters, who will cherish her memory for many years to come.

We have received "L'Idea Sionista," our Italian contemporary, which is published in Modena. It is thoroughly up-to-date in its information and generally appears to be the best Jewish publication issued in Italy.
A large number of reports of Shekel Day, and the formation of new and reorganization of old societies, reach us as we go to press. We hope to note them, especially Greensburg, Albany, Rochester, Stamford, etc., in our next issue.
