Order of the Knights of Zion
The eighth annual convention of the Order Knights of Zion will be held in St. Louis, Mo., on the 31st of Dec., and 1st of Jan., 1906, at the Weintraub's Hall, corner Seventh and Franklin avenue. A large attendance is expected from all the middle western states where the order has subordinate societies. The St. Louis Zionists are making elaborate preparations to entertain the visiting delegates and make their visit to St. Louis as pleasant as possible.
Society Due Carde.
The Young Men's Zion Society, of Rochester, has printed a due card which it is selling to its members at five cents each, and which it will use for the purpose of crediting members with payment of dues. These cards can be printed at the rate of $3 or $4 per thousand. The Rochester society, by selling them at five cents each, is able to make a profit on them. In cancelling dues, the National Funds stamps are pasted on a blank square, and the stamp is cancelled with a society recording date when the dues were paid. The Rochester society has not yet been able to make a report as to the usefulness of this method; but other societies may wish to make the experiment. The entire cost need not be more than $5.
General Bulletin No. III. has been issued to the societies. A copy of this Bulletin will be sent to each of the officers of every society whose addresses are recorded in the office of the Federation. The Bulletins are issued to societies for the purpose of discussion at metings.
