The Yahrzeit of our lamented Herzl occurs on Friday, July 13. We must not permit this Yahrzeit to pass by unnoticed. The effort of the Zionists should be to make this Yahrzeit one of the most solemn and sacred days of the Jewish calendar. It is, of course, impossible for anything to be done on Friday, but the Propaganda Committee suggests, first: That on Thursday evening, July 12,or Sunday evening, July 15 there shall be memorial mass-meetings. There might also be a National Fund collection on Sunday. Many Jews will give for Palestine if approached on the day of memorial. There should also be proper services in the synagogues on Saturday, July 14, and an effort should be made that the noddering” be for the benefit of the National Fund.
The Propaganda Committee will do all in its power to assist societies and councils in making the necessary preparations for proper observance of this, the most solemn day in the Zionist calendar.
This matter should be taken up at the very first moment after the receipt of this letter, and acted upon at once.

A meeting of the Executive Committee of the Federation of American Zionists was held on Monday evening, May 21, at the office of the Federation, 165 E. Broadway New York. In the absence of Dr. Friedenwald, Mr. Lipsky presided.

The following resolution was adopted:
Whereas the Actions Comite has asked the federations throughout the world to hold their Shekel collection on 27th, 28th and 29th of May; and, whereas, the
a committee appointed by the Brussels Conference for the purpose of forming a permanent General Jewish Organization, consisting of representatives of all Jewish organizations. This Committee called upon the Federation of American Zionists to join the General Jewish Organization. It was resolved to say, in reply to this communication, that inasmuch as the international Zionist organization has signified its willingness to become part of the General Jewish Organization; and the Federation of American Zionists is part of the international Zionist organization, the Federation of American Zionists considers itself part of said General Jewish Organization.
The Secretary read a letter from Dr.Julius Simon, of Manheim, in which hesuggested that there be formed in thiscountry a Palestine Verein, each memberof which shall contribute the sum oftwenty-five cents per year toward the support of the Palestine ommission; thePalestine Commission, in its turn, torender a yearly report of its activity tothis Palestine Verein. It was decided thatthe plan of the "Comite sur Gruendungeines Vereins sur wirtschaftlichen Ersch-liessung Palastinas," be brought before theTannersville Convention as one of thematters for discussion under the topic"Practical Work in Palestine."
A circular letter from the Actions Comite with regard to holding of a General Shekel collection on May 27, 28, and 29 was then presented.
