Chevra Bnai Zion, a society of 100 members, Shekel fully paid, and $10 having been paid as Federation tax, be seated; but, that said agreement shall cease from this time.
II. That Rabbi C. H. Kauvar, of Denver, be seated as delegate of the junior societies, Hope of Zion and Buds of Zion, of Denver, Col., the Committee having accepted his statement that he was duly elected by those societies, but that such election was not formally reported.
III. That Mr. Morris Alexander, of Cape Town, S. A., who has been very active on behalf of our cause in South Africa, be elected an honorary delegate to this Convention.
The Committee further begs to submit, for the consideration of the Convention, the following case:
The Zionist League of Brooklyn, having paid Federation dues for 63 members, and having collected $13.25 for Shekolim, had applied to the Federation fcr a subcharter about a week ago, but same has not, as yet, been granted to them. This society has duly elected two delegates, both of whom are present, and ask to be seated.
S. ABEL, Chairman, M. BROTSKY, S. D. SOLOMONS, NATHAN S. ISAACS, N. CHASAN.
COMMITTEE ON EDUCATION.
The above Committee was formed and I was elected its chairman at the last Zionist Convention, from which I was absent. I have never received any information as to the duties of that Committee or the work it was supposed to undertake. I understand that an organization was planned which would have fallen within the scope of a Committee on Education, but that plan was never realized. I consequently have nothing to report, and can only ask to be relieved from my post, which is merely nominal.
Respectfully submitted, ISRAEL FRIEDLANDER, Chairman.
